@adam2131 Why would anyone trust a site that can't use images appropriate to its topic? Presumably that means you must be the site designer or at least working for him. He needs to fix his site's design before trying to worry about specific browsers.

Installer doesn't allow deselection of options to 'Help improve Opera by sending feature usage information' and 'Make Opera the Default Browser'. The checkboxes are un-de-selelectable. One caveat: I am running it on macOS26 beta, so this could be a beta OS issue, but I've seen others have similar problems with earlier OSs.

If Opera want to restrict these checkboxes, then they shouldn't be listed as 'options', because they're not. They're already hidden behind a dropdown in the installer. I feel that's a bit of a dark pattern, too. Maybe time to go back to Firefox or even Safari.

Well I got that fixed Now I need to get another issue fixed
I have it set to Sync everything including tanks and workspaces i have set up and it put the workspaces but not the tabs I set up in them

@leocg I updated it to version 111 and clearing seems to be working on the search history, although I haven't tried it on cookies. I guess i just forgot to update. Thx for your help.

@burnout426 Thank you so much i was worried quite a bit but turns out all i had to do was click sync everything then click the x and not just click sync everything then click sync nothing again because i thought it wasn't working. Thanks again for the help.

Web pages don't have access to file:///, so you're good. Pages can request local files via the File System api with your permission and interaction. But, even then, it's done in a safe way without leaking paths.

In short, browsers got your covered.

@bianca0 What does that mean, are you trying to play a video and nothing happens, or is there something else you meant by "put a picture in motion"? Also, what version of Opera on what OS?

@cocoapebblesrock So from who is that account? That site allows using a Google account to login and is detecting that you (or someone else that used your Opera and logged in to Google at some point) are logged in to a Google account and is offering the option to use that account to login on the site.

If you go to opera://settings/content/all and delete Google related data, maybe those pop-ups wil stop showing up.
Opera didn't save all the sites saved in my bookmarks
