I recently switched to Fedora 44 KDE Plasma (fresh installation).
After installing all system updates, I installed the Flatpak version of Opera from KDE Discover (version 133.0.5932.60).
Opera launches normally and the first-run setup works fine until I click "Yes, set as default browser". As soon as I click that button, Opera immediately crashes every time.
The browser works normally otherwise; the crash only occurs when Opera tries to register itself as the default browser.
I've reproduced the issue multiple times on a completely fresh installation.
The desktop notification reports:
The command /app/opera/opera (Part of Opera) encountered a fatal error and terminated.
