When I run the installer, it says I have no Network Connection. I downloaded the installer on the same network connection.

Why does this app need an installer? I just need a browser app. I don't want it to install any services, helpers, or otherwise. Just a browser app.

Why is it so hard to use Opera?

I have exactly the same problem when trying to update Opera 133.0 to 134.0 on macOS 26.5.2. This is clearly complete nonsense, since I am capable of accessing information via the interwebs, in all cases apart from the Opera Installer. How do you think I obtained the Opera Installer? Do you think I downloaded it over a non-existent network connection? Come on guys, this shouldn't be rocket science 😮

And don't even get me started about the convoluted steps needed to create a login so that I could post this message 🤯

Same here: the downloaded installer file (Opera 134) nonsensically complains about “missing network”. The installer won’t start.
The complete setup file can be downloaded and I can apparently install it, but when I restart the (updated) Opera, it goes into an endless loop and aborts the start after 10 to 20 seconds. The update to Opera 134 is not possible for me at the moment.

At this very moment, there's only one Opera 134 build on the server right now (here). Auto-updating to it is not enabled and there's no blog post about it (post was up for a sec and then removed), so there might be something wrong with it.

@burnout426 This has been going on for a few days now, with no communication from Opera. It would probably be more sensible to remove the (faulty) build from the server: the different update apps still find it and offer it for update...

Update. The 134 build is bad/broken for some users and isn't supposed to be available for download at opera.com, but it incorrectly is at the moment. Someone is supposed to fix that.

If you have the 134 build, you should be able to uninstall it (but don't delete your settings and data) and install https://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/133.0.5932.85/mac/ that shouldn't autoupdate to the bad 134 on you.

If the 134 build happened to mess up your settings and data and you don't mind starting over fresh, you can rename these folders:

                "/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera" "/Users/yourusername/Library/Caches/com.operasoftware.Opera"

Hopefully it didn't mess with your data etc. though.

                  Dear Team,

Thank you for your response. I am facing the issue "No network connection" while installing the application. I have already checked my internet connection, restarted the device, and tried again, but the problem still persists. Kindly investigate the issue and provide the necessary assistance to resolve it as soon as possible.

                  Thank you.

@burnout426 The dmg on the ftp site worked. No installer, just an app.
