In Opera I changed the default search engine to duckduckgo and I hoped it's also possible for the android desktop. But perhaps I missunderstood the message at the welcome screen.

I know, but disabling it doesn't fix the problem either so there's still a problem with opera and sites like this.

There are plenty of browsers that DO cope with sites like this just fine so i've got plenty of options. Just a shame none of them will be Opera.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. HTC is currently testing it but eventually it has been released earlier. So you may need to wait for sometime to get it working.

In case you might be in tablet mode - the button he means is in the address bar and shows the number of open tabs on it... in tablet mode that'll be on top rather than on the bottom.

However an maybe important thing to mention, is that the videos on the web pages are not playing. They do not auto play.

And this is not a problem when visiting the same pages using Chrome.

So it seems like an opera issue. And it would be sad dropping Opera after almost 20 years.
