I clicked on the green shield in title bar while on a substack page in my opera browser.

Went to site settings, toggled on "open in app".

Substack links continue to open in opera, not substack.

I made sure that app settings in android tell substack to "open supported links".

I even rebooted android device. Opera continues to refuse to open substack addresses in my substack app.

Suggestions?

Pinch to zoom annoyingly only lets me make the image bigger not smaller, so the controls are still out of reach. Equally annoying is that I can't find a setting to manually change the zoom. In general, I've been finding the integration with FB sub-optimal with elements often being rendered in front of other elements. (Like a frame covering part of an image). Any idea how I can make the necessary elementsaccessible? Apologies for the bad attitude, I've been using Opera for years, but lately I've been finding it increasingly cryptic, and even something as basic as accessing and finding the settings is not obvious.

I log in but as soon as I leave the page that comes up when you log in I am no longer logged in & sync says log in to sync except when I click on the link to do with sync on that page. You can export the passwords as a .csv file and then import them.
Export as .csv then open the "flow" it's a private chat just with yourself.
Drop the file there, open it from your new device and load the passwords.
Then DELETE the csv in the flow chat and from both devices.

And you talk about the "tabs" 😉 the open pages, you can open them at the right bottom.

I might install a previous apk and see if it's a recent push issue.

As a workaround from Opera on my Desktop, I Open Bookmarks, Other Speed Dials.
I see a List of other Devices "Pixel Phone" and "Pixel Tablet".
I can then Copy and Paste Speed Dials between the Device folders.
I also have another folder named Master which contains all my Speed Dials as a Backup.

A few days ago, an Opera update caused crashing the Opera browser. I couldn't backup passwords from the sync repo. Today another Opera update enabled running Opera but the sync is lost and interestingly passwords are lost. I tried connecting to sync, also logging in by web. There is no synced password now. Why?

Previously, there was a vertical list below the field; now it's a horizontal list just above the keyboard. While I'm not a fan of this design, what's really odd is that this list doesn't interact with what you type. As soon as you focus on the field, a selection of text is offered, perhaps the most frequently typed words? If you start typing, this list of suggestions remains static and never updates as you type.
It's a bug ?

Also how edit these suggestions ?
