We are aware of issue with update going into loop on macOS. In such case system restart usually helps to break the loop, perhaps you encountered this issue as it seems to match what you describe.
"Warn on closing window with multiple tabs" should not warn when using Menu - Exit

@leocg well, Opera seems extremely close to Yandex recently. So they could make a deal with them. Or chat with many of the current translation services available.

@burnout426 Not the desired answer sorry. The search engine shouldn't be locked like that at all. Instead it should default to user chosen default.

I don't want Google. I want to use the search engine i have chosen, be it Bing, Duckduckgo, Ecosia, or Searx etc
