I've been using OneTab for a few years now from the Chrome web store.

The only thing, occasionally the links won't populate, so just click reload and they will return.

It also may be a good idea to save the links in a text editor file every so often. I just copy-paste them.

@john-53 Long story short....It was just a matter of updating the script that i use to install the plugin (libffmpeg) that I precompiled. Once I updated that script and installed 96.0.4664.110 -- the crashes stopped.

You're welcome.

For future reference, it's actually better to install through terminal while also getting the Opera key and adding it to the repos.

Unless you choose to go with flatpak or snap.

I have used Method 2 on this webpage. The only exception is I don't launch Opera through the terminal. It will be populated in your menu once install is complete if using Ubuntu base system.

Problem solved!

I used find command for retrieve all opera directorys and remove.
sudo find / -iname *opera* | less
After that I downloaded last opera release of this week and install with command
sudo dpkg -i opera-stable_82.0.4227.33_amd64.deb
All fine and working again!

Thank you a lot @fonm your help, I don't know if help worked but I tried all of your commands suggested

Reading the Stable, Beta, and Dev release channel descriptions for Chrome can give you an idea as Opera's channels are pretty much the same way.

for reference, I was not able to downgrade chromium but following this guide https://gist.github.com/Thomas-Ln/c4ae803e90f9984b6612c8983c8fde1f I got the libffmpeg.so from the .deb package for version 95.0.4638.69 of chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra

I'm using libffmpeg.so from chromium 96 on opera-beta and libffmpeg.so from chromium 95 in opera-stable
