Download libffmpeg from this repository https://github.com/iteufel/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/releases/ Create the next folder mdkir -p /usr/lib/chromium-browser Unzip the downloaded file in the folder /usr/lib/chromium-browser Change file permissions with chmod 555 /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so Restart your browser

Did you copy the libffmpeg.so to Opera lib folder, or just install the codec package ?

in any case, there is a problem with opera, and I would like to solve it. I've been using it all my life , including this antivirus. I just switched to a Linux system and I'm not used to using other browsers. On win, this juxtaposition works well

Hello everyone

I would like help to understand why Fedora 34 Beta flavor Deepin V20 works correctly and connect to Opera Browser normally and this same application and extension does not work correctly on Deepin V20.2. Can anyone have an explanation for this? Could it be because Keepassxc 2.6.4 is installed on Deepin V20.2 via flatpak?

For adding a new search engine, you need to specify a keyword (this actually means shortcut).

@berend47533 Try this: open Settings,click Advanced, and under Privacy and Security, click on Site Settings, click on Additional permissions > Handlers, you will find it there.
Opera opens the file save dialog when I start a download even if "Ask where to save each file before downloading" option is disabled in settings

@dut412 Thanks much! As a new Linux user, I was also having this problem in Ubuntu and eventually figured out what you were saying.

To expand on what you said, if you open the Settings (either from the drop down menu in the upper right corner of the desktop or by searching the Activities), then select Printers, you can add any printers that are missing. After doing that, select Applications in the Settings dialog, select Opera, then turn on the "Print documents" setting.

The Opera specific Applications settings was the part I was missing.

Unfortunately, the "locate" command does not seem to work in Crostini (the Chromebook terminal).

Well, guess what @sgunhouse and @leocg ... I got this to work using the video and some nuggets you fellows gave me about a week ago ... Hallelujah, my Opera on Linux/Chromebook has videos in Twitter and elsewhere now! 🙂
