I had an update today and it still crashes. version 99.0.4788.31

Same issue happens in Opera Beta 99.0.4788.6

spoke too soon, it takes longer but it ends up crashing anyway

@styen thanks! I made a PR to fix an issue I had when both opera and opera-beta are installed, but fixing that fixed the script for me and now I can use opera without crashing

I'm having the same issue

I think it's related to sound, I use this site https://jigsawpuzzles.io and when I disable the sound it stops crashing, it I enable the sound it crashes as soon as it tries to play sound.

I had this also happening in twitter (after a while, I think when videos appear in the feed), google calendar, noko, youtube, whatsapp

Seems to be fixed in the new Opera Beta 100.0.4815.2

Lastest Opera Beta from today (v 100.0.4815.2) doesn't crash anymore!

When I go to opera://config and use the search option at the top right, after the first character of the search is entered a new empty Opera window pops up.

This doesn't happen again until opera is closed.

Steps:

• open Opera
• go to opera://config
• type one character in the top right search field
• a new Opera window appears
• any other search works fine with no issue

Same issue happens in Opera Beta

for reference, I was not able to downgrade chromium but following this guide https://gist.github.com/Thomas-Ln/c4ae803e90f9984b6612c8983c8fde1f I got the libffmpeg.so from the .deb package for version 95.0.4638.69 of chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra

I'm using libffmpeg.so from chromium 96 on opera-beta and libffmpeg.so from chromium 95 in opera-stable

@styen I see I have chromium 96 installed, and opera beta is 82

I'll try downgrading chromium to version 95 to see if that fixes the crashes, thanks!

I think it's related to the ffmpeg hack to get videos working on linux (linked in the first comment), but the same libffmpe.so file is being used with opera-beta and it doesn't crash, so I imagine it's something with opera that will get fixed by itself eventually?
