Opera for Windows here. Cache has 2500+ files in it and Media Cache has 345.

Those numbers are normal.

My vote also goes to trackers, which incidentally also usually cause a big speedup when blocked :). As @zalex108 says, you can disable EasyPrivacy in Opera's Preferences to see if that was it.

If you have imported your bookmarks, maybe that is the reason of having two Bookmarks bar folders.

Well, if the latest Opera version for Lion is 37 as said in the blogs, then you are lucky, that's better than 26, (didn't found that before).

At the other hand, you are right, the hack it's dangerous without the needed precautions, but depending on the situation could be needed.

Use SimpleExtManager (or another extensions manager) and just disable the not frequently used extensions.

AFAIK: Opera opens always a link in the same (active) tab in the foreground. That doesn't solve the "problem" of the "new tab behavior".

@aleksod correct, that article is wrong (on more than one point). It looks like the journalist didn't actually use Opera before writing the article 🙂

@ginkan, consider using the stable version of Opera if you're seeing crashes in developer - they are a lot more expected in the developer version (it's meant for testing, not for using...). I see that additionally you're also using the Beta of macOS High Sierra. Since that has only been available since a few days, expect some bugs there to be worked out before the final release of High Sierra. In short: if you're using beta versions, expect some bumps 🙂

The initial crash that was discussed in this thread on MacBook Pros with Touch Bar has since been fixed. If you have another issue, let's start a new thread.
