Hey rashimov, have you found any solution to your problem? I'm giving Opera a trial run and noticed I can't sign into Github either; any attempt to do so just redirects me back to the main page.

Hi @verpag, you're not the only one, but so far I haven't seen how it happens 🙂

You can get it back like this: click View -> Show Toolbar in Full Screen Mode in the menu.

OK. So I got it to go away. I went to the new tab/speed dial. Then customize start page, and selected the drop down for the side bar. Then toggled "History" on off a couple of times and it went away.

Very odd.
Drag a link to another Opera window, causing that linked site to load

I have returned to uBlock Origin from the built-in ad blocker again until Opera’s ad blocker matures to the point we no longer need extensions. uBlock Origin should be more than plenty for ad blocking. It is possibly the most lightweight extension there is currently. The additional CPU cycles by ad block extensions do not matter for modern PCs.

Combining multiple ad blockers is generally not a good idea if that is what you meant by ‘lettering the built handle some generic stuff’.

Hi @chasmeyerson, I don't know about this extension specifically, but you can install https://addons.opera.com/en-gb/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en which will allow you to install Chrome extensions.

I agree with the OP that I can't believe these issues still haven't been addressed, and it's now more than 3 years later! There are people who want to leave Chrome and would probably be very happy with Opera...IF they could customize the extension toolbar. Opera developers are sabotaging themselves by ignoring requests like this.
