@terryhumpson So you clicked on the tabs menu icon (the magnifying glass on the top right) and closed tabs weren't listed there?

To remove policies –

Go to the start menu and search for Command Prompt.
From the appeared options, click on Run as administrator.
In the opened command prompt, Use the following commands one after the other,

RD /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers”
RD /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicy”
gpupdate /force
Once all the commands have run, properly, move on to the next step.

@plushbutton4092 Check to make sure you installed the same kind of Opera. There are two main type, Opera One and Opera GX. I'd guess your desktop is Opera GX while the laptop is Opera One, but look at Help > About Opera to be sure.

so I managed to download it eventually, via another computer. However, after installing "opera vpn for ui" the program remains "disconected" and even repeated logins, logging out in the browser, turning off opera or cleaning cookies did not help.

I have paid for the service, the trial 7 days have passed, but unfortunately for some unknown reason it does not work, which is quite frustrating.

I researched, tested several browses, and Vivaldi is my new browser on all the platforms I use. For now I'm as satisfied again as when I discovered Opera around 20 years ago. The problem won't be just Opera's, because a user who was born in 1954 and doesn't even use social networks, no longer has the patience for modernity. Thank you all
