How to get notified of Opera browser updates?

This might seem like an odd request, because I know the browser itself has a notification.
Is there an RSS feed or some mailing list I can be added to that will notify me of software updates to Stable?

@dsg40 RSS feed, sure. But it doesn't only announce stable updates.
If you head to blogs.opera.com/desktop you can see the desktop team blog, where you can find the update announcements for all desktop versions (including Developer, Beta and Stable) as well as some discussion of notable new features. You can subscribe to the feed, or they also have a newsletter subscription (haven't tried that one so don't know what it's like.).
