yes they fixed it globally, i don't see this bug any other applications as well, sometimes uttorent and few other apps had this debug.log files as well, now they all gone, last one i had was 24 february using operagx

@henname OMG! It looks like your computer is possessed or something. That's really weird. What about other browsers? For one of my laptops, the Safari browser acted strangely. It opened many different tabs and only updated the entire system, and the help of VPN helped me to solve that issue. But nothing like that I had with other browsers.

Nothing of the above helped; it was necessary to delete Opera and to re-install it completely. I have the latest version now. Further I have to re-install quick links, extensions. Hopefully this will not happening too often. For now Opera remains the best browser.

To enable VPN under Opera browser, follow these steps:
Go to Settings. Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Features. Under VPN, turn on Enable VPN.

Edge using Chromium like Chrome and Opera do, so it might have the same problem unless it disables the Chromium feature.

I see the Opera extension is at https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/youtube-downloader-udl-helper/.

For Chrome, it uses Tampermonkey and this huge user js script:

https://unidownloader.com/src/usrjs/downloader.user.js

It has all kinds of modules and seems to use a web assembly version of ffmpeg.

At, https://unidownloader.com/en, there's the client app. I assume the helper extension communicates with it.

As to whether it's safe or not, not sure.

@lesmw In settings, keyboard shortcuts, is Ctrl+F5 assigned?
Can you try with extensions disabled? (In private mode most extensions ar disabled for example.)
And - are you sure your app does not process it somehow? We (in our app) changed processing for F5 and initially accidentally overwrote Ctrl+F5 either 🙂
