RE: Opera 114.0.5282.185 Stable updateBlogs
As much as it saddens me, I am getting to the point where I am considering switching my default browser from Opera to something else. I have been using Opera as my default browser since the first build came out in the 90's, so this isn't an easy decision, but I am finding more and more sites that won't recognize Opera, or say that I need to use an up-to-date browser.
I bank with PNC, and for years have been able to do so with Opera but ,in the past few months, have been unable to do so. Speaking with PNC has been no help as they don't list Opera as a supported browser. Now, in the past few weeks I am having trouble with Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, and xfinity.
It just seems to be getting worse and worse, and I have tried everything I can think of to resolve the problem without success - I am quite knowledgeable when it comes to computers. I just want to have one browser that works for everything I do - switching browser for financial sites is not an acceptable option to me. It would seem that this would be a fairly easy fix for Opera to do with user-agent strings or something, as most UA extensions are out of date.
I'd be more than happy to try other fixes or have Opera fix this, as I have been loyal to Opera from the first release until now.

@ezenofx I feel your pain. I've been using Opera since version 1, and I don't want to quit using it.

Problem logging into PNC BankOpera for Windows
I've been having a recurrent problem logging into the PNC Bank with Opera. I have used Opera since version 1, and I have had few problems logging into most sites. However, in the last week or so, when I try to log in the following message pops up: "Service unavailable
Online Banking is unavailable right now. Please try again later or contact us."I can log into PNC with Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Edge, or Firefox with no problem. I can also use a User-Agent with Opera and log in, so it doesn't seem to Opera, per se, that is the problem.
PNC says they don't support Opera, but I have been using with their site for year with no problem,
Any thoughts?

Problem logging into several sitesOpera for Windows
I'm still having compatibility issues. Have been unable to log into PNC bank with Opera for nearly two months, unless I use a user-agent to spoof another browser. Just recently, Charles Schwab opens, but say my browser may not be recognized, though it functions fine, for now. I've been using Opera since the first version, and thought that most compatibility issues

@daria19: Daria - Yes they work fine in Chrome, which is why I don't understand why they don't work in Opera.Maybe six months ago or so, I had no problems. I don't want to switch from Opera as I've been using it since the beginning.

RE: Opera 114.0.5282.102 Stable updateBlogs
@daria19: I'm still having trouble with PNC bank. User-agents switchers all seem to have outdated user-agent strings, so they don't seem to work. I can use Firefox browser with no problem - it has a different user-agent string. Question: is it an Opera issue - needing to modify its default user-agent string, or is it a PNC bank issue - needing to recognize the Opera string as legitimate? Or is it a more complicated isssue?

[Duplicated]Problem with websites not recognizing OperaOpera for computers
Has anyone else been noticing an increase in sites that Opera doesn't work with? I've been using Opera since it was first introduced many years ago, but in the last few months I'm finding sites that do not recognize Opera. Since it uses the Chrome engine, I would think there wouldn't be problems.
So far I'm having problems with PNC bank, xfinity, PayPal, and Charles Schwab. I'm wondering if there is some setting I am overlooking or some conflict with anti-virus and secuity software.

Charles Schwab
Sometimes xfinity.comI have tried using user agent switchers, but lately even those don't solve the problem!

RE: Opera 114.0.5282.102 Stable updateBlogs
It seems I am finding more sites that don't recognize Opera as a legitimate browser. I've been an Opera use since its first release. First, my bank - pnc.com, failed to recognize Opera. I've spoken with PNC on multiple occasions and they suggest I use a different browser! I don't want to change browsers just to do my banking. I also find that Charles Schwab suggests that my browser might not work on their site, and that I should consider using a different browser. I ignore this warning and everything seems to be fine. Today, when I logged into xfinity to check the TV schedule for tonight, it also suggested I use a different/supported browser.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this, or might there be something else I am overlooking that is causing these problems? -
