Aha!!

I keep reading folks complaining about the splash screen, which I have NEVER seen on my Linux machines ... and I suspected it was OS specific, which you just confirmed (you state it's an .exe program doing it). And that's fine, don't want a splash screen.

But to stay on-topic, the light blue selection highlight is okay by me - it's not really intrusive.

@leocg Obviously the button's style should differ from this how tabs or tab islands look like.

For instance, I founded another bug, when I open the browser and some islands are closed, they have that white point (new tab inside island):

Still no favicons for history and for recently closed.
Quite a big disadvantage which complicates searching.

I do not tackle sometimes such issues as I do not use the options you wrote about. Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Space is not what I use. I know well what pages I have kept opened and where! Well named workspaces make wonders. 😉
