@Opera-QA-Team Clear. Nothing special then.
The name and description is a bit confusing though.
I though that the 'widget on the start page' is some equivalent to old widgets which used to be in old versions where widgets were as a tiles (weather, calender, time and so on), there also was a dedicated section on Opera add-ons page. -

Hi, following up on BUG-27259. The inconsistent Slovak translations are still present in Opera 138. Could you please review and align the terminology across the UI? Also, the Czech localization may be worth checking for similar inconsistencies.
Thank you. -

@bbildman: I can confirm!
I’ve also run into this issue.
It’s very annoying.
A solution is needed urgently.
You could even mark it as critical. -

Thanks for the update! It’s great to see Opera 138 getting improvements, especially with Chromium updates and better stability. I hope the team also looks into the small bugs and UI issues mentioned here to make the overall browsing experience even smoother.

@karen-arzumanyan: I may have tracked down the source of this behavoir, I had an extension called Opera Ad blocker, at this web site, looks like it actually came from the Opera Software team, maybe it is outmoded, at this web site::
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/opera-ad-blocker/
I disabled all my extensions and one by one I enabled them, and the crash happens when I enable this extansion

@bbildman: I have two extensions enabled: "Opera Ad blocker" and "uBlock Origin."
The issue with restarts began after the update of Opera One from version 137 to 138.
Thanks for the tip, I’ve disabled the "Opera Ad blocker" extension and will monitor how it behaves. -

@leocg: Opera has restarted again, even though I have the "Opera Ad blocker" extension disabled.
So, that’s not the cause of the restarts.
It must be something else. -

@karen-arzumanyan You can goto the URL
opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and look in the "Extensions" folder in the profile folder. If you see a "temp" folder, delete it to see if it helps.Another thing you can try is to goto the URL
opera://extensions, remove all extensions, close Opera and in the profile folder, delete the "Extensions", "Extension State", "Extension Scripts", "Extension Rules" and "Local Extension Settings" folder. Then, in the "IndexedDB" folder, you can delete any folders that start with ````chrome-extension```.Another thing you can try is to delete any folders in the root of the profile folder that have "cache" somewhere in their names. You can then go up one folder level to the root of the user data folder (where you see the "Default" folder) and delete any folders there with "cache" somewhere in their names.
Another thing you can try is to goto the URL
opera://about, take note of the "Cache" path, close Opera and delete the "Cache" and "System Cache" folders in that path.Another thing you can do is to start Opera in safe mode and see if it still happens. If it doesn't, you can troubleshoot more by only using
--disable-extensionsfor example to see if the issue goes away. If so and you don't have any extensions installed, it could be one of Opera's built-in extensions that's causing the issue.Another thing you can do is completely disable adblocking and tracking protection at the URL
opera://settings/privacyProtectionand restart Opera to see if that helps. -

@karen-arzumanyan Hi Karen, I had to also disable Block Ads and Block Trackers in the right panel for all pages.

Ok, I have crash/shut down problem, and I disabled adblocking and tracking, which stopped the crashes completely. So, that being so, what can I do to re-open the ad and tracking blocking. It is very frustrating, and obviously an issue that started with Opera 138 and continues in 139. Those two features of Opera is a selling point, and to not be able to use them needs to addressed by the opera team, thanks Burny...from another Bernie!

@bbildman You probably just have to wait for a fix. Or, for now, you can goto the URLs
opera://settings/adBlockerListsandopera://settings/trackerBlockerLists, when adblocking and tracking are enabled, disable a list that's enabled, restart Opera and see if the crashes stop. Maybe you'll find that it's a specific list (or lists) that's the culprit.An alternative though would be to leave Opera's adblocking and tracking protection disabled and just use uBlock Origin.
