Which is the reason to have / want duplicated tabs?

But those complaining seems to want the duplicates.
That's because I'm asking.

@leocg Check the latest Beta's thread, as it seems now there must me 2 flags enabled for using DOH. Also, Beta has UI settings for enabling DOH in Browser Settings(that is disabled by default). https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/01/opera-67-beta/#comment-196544

@leocg I have enabled these 2 flags:
opera://flags/#opera-doh
opera://flags/#dns-over-https
and it works for me
Opera Develope 67.0.3574.0

@leocg Developer doesn't work here also for some reason.
I thought the reason is that they not enabled yet the visual setting (toggle button) on Dev channel and it's just not possible to turn it on in Settings (that toggle button was disabled by default in Beta on Settings page). But @temkem says it's working. -

@andrew84, @leocg , And yet it doesn't work on Opera Developer 67.0.3574.0 ! I just forgot to disable DNS in the Windows system itself, which I registered myself.

@temkem said in Opera 67.0.3574.0 developer update:
it doesn't work on Opera Developer 67.0.3574.0 !
Then maybe indeed they forgot to enable the doh settings UI in browser and that 'invisible' toggle stays disabled even with those flags enabled.

@andrew84 Yes, if you enable these flags and, as an experiment, edit the Local State file in dev 67.0.3574.0 using the example from beta 67.0.3575.2, DoH will work in dev 67.0.3574.0 as well.

Hi @temkem, @johnd78, as far as I know, the
opera:flags#dns-over-https
is Chrome's implementation of the feature, and is independent from the Opera'sopera:flags#opera-doh
. It seems, that when you enabled the#dns-over-https
, you have now working this one;-)
Please also be aware, that Chrome's implementation seems to be available so far on Windows and Mac, but not for Linux.
Please also keep in mind, that if the DNS servers assigned by your ISP/router, are not the ones from the Providers in the mapping table, then this will not work, and it will fallback to your default DNS servers. You can also try to uncheck "auto detecting" of DNS servers in your OS network card settings, and add one or more IP addresses of "compatible" servers from the list mentioned above, for example: 1.0.0.1, 8.8.8.8, or 8.8.4.4

@ralf-brinkmann: I can scroll the page only if I disable "easylist" from adblocker.

@temkem, @johnd78 Conclusions from my recent tests on Linux. The options in settings seems to doesn't work for Google and partially for custom DNS server. Because when you select the option and enter custom DNS server, for example 1.0.0.1, then it works (switches to that server), and also writes it to the "Local State" file under below sections:
"dns_over_https": { "mode": "automatic", "opera": { "custom_servers": "1.0.0.1",
However, when you enter server from other provider (no matter if only IP or in the proposed format for Google:
https://dns.google/dns-query?8.8.4.4
, this writes it to the file, but it doesn't work. It is most probably like that, because I'm checking it on Linux. I assume, that this is still not available on Linux, but I can check it also on Windows and Mac in few days.
