@burnout426 Yes, everyone had to be logged out and give the consent precisely due to GDPR regulations.
The consent about e-mail communication is mandatory too, but rest assured - we are not sending you anything unless you opt-in to receive it (notifications/digest mails). Finally - this changes nothing for you, except for making you more aware of the data we need to process in order to be able to provide the service (i.e. Opera forums) for you. We are not storing/processing more data than is required so that you can use this forums

After going to theunread
section, if I click on the logo to get back to the categories, I have nothing:It looks like it keeps using the unread filter although I am not on the specific page anymore. The issue does not occur on a private window, so I guess there is an issue with session information.Edit: even after logout/login, the default page does not show categories but the 5 more recent topics.OK, I didn't remember that I had set the landing page to be Unread in my profile. But as a consequence, I had no link to go to categories. I set it back, but I think we may need a new icon in the top bar for categories..

@mmichel OK, we have removed this button as it seemed redundant (since clicking on the logo takes you to the landing page which is "categories" by default), but your use-case proves that in some scenarios it isn't.
Sadly there's no way to show the button only to these that have custom landing page so I've enabled it for everyone. Hope the rest won't mind the slight redundancy

OK, there was a bug introduced into NodeBB that we've released with the last upgrade.
Go to https://community.nodebb.org/topic/12323/widget-persists-and-does-not-respond-to-any-updates/6 if you're curious about the reason for this weird behaviour. -

Yesterday, or perhaps the other day too, not sure, I had trouble connecting and posting here on the forums. Was there any trouble on the server end?
"Reply" didn't work a couple of times, pages kept loading for a while, and I dropped it. It seems that yesterday my comment came through, though I didn't see it appear at the time... -

It seems to happen that the user list displays single member names twice:
While I was afraid at first glance that a unique member name could be assigned more than once during the registration process, I do think now that it is just a representation error in the user list, because both shown member profiles are linked to the same address.
I mention that because I don't know which event could trigger the occurence of that display bug.
