Goto the URL opera://settings/content/automaticDownloads and clear any sites (like mail.google.com and such). Also, turn off the setting if needed.

web browser is set to opera in windows settings, but for some reason neither http or htm was pointing to opera. chnaged both to opera and bingo, we're in business.

As already said some times, support for speed dial extensions has been dropped.

To have it disappear (a workaround):

right click on the window and "reload frame".

@resato Do you have that extension too?
