The InRelease (https://deb.opera.com/opera-stable/dists/stable/) is signed with an expired GPG key. Signature is still using key ID 24A1004B1F11DCC9, which is the expired 2023 key. Even though the file was generated on May 28, 2025, Opera has not updated the signing key used to sign it.
OS: Linux Mint 21.2 x86_64
Kernel: 5.15.0-140-genericfrom apt update:
W: GPG error: https://deb.opera.com/opera-stable stable InRelease: The following signatures were invalid: EXPKEYSIG 24A1004B1F11DCC9 Opera Software Archive Automatic Signing Key 2023 packager@opera.com
E: The repository 'https://deb.opera.com/opera-stable stable InRelease' is not signed.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default. -

"Press Ctrl / or Cmd / while browsing to chat with Aria, Opera’s AI, instantly - and even command your tabs."
What happens if you do that in private mode? In the Windows version it adds a darker overlay and nothing else. -

Open opera://bookmarks/ and press Tab repeatedly to navigate the bookmark folders. When you reach a folder that is open, the "cursor" that shows which folder has focus, is gone.

@pilis00 Thank you for the feedback! The issue you mentioned has already been addressed and should no longer occur in the latest Beta and Developer versions. If you're using one of these builds, please let us know whether the issue still reproduces on your end.

@andrew84 Hello, yes, this statement refers to the animated themes crashes you had reported earlier. Thank you for describing how it behaves on your side after the resolution. We’ll take this into consideration and investigate further. We really appreciate your input!

@Frozenfan53 Hello! To make the mini player appear, first open the player in the sidebar and select a service. Then, after choosing a song and closing the player, simply hover your mouse over the player icon in the sidebar - the mini player should appear.
Please let us know if it shows up for you after following these steps. -

@whisperer Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Please note that Aria is not available in private browsing mode. To use Aria, switch to normal browsing mode.

I know Aria is not available in private mode. Previously one would get a statement saying something like this. Just making the screen go dark is simply a bug. -

@whisperer If I understand correctly, you see a darkened screen but no popup informing you that Aria isn’t available in private mode. I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue on my end, but thank you for bringing it to our attention. To help us investigate further, could you please let me know which operating system you’re using? A screenshot would also be very helpful. Additionally, does the popup appear normally when you use Aria in normal (non-private) mode?

@whisperer Here on Win 10x64 I can see the popup in private mode.
Edit:
@whisperer said in Opera 119.0.5497.56 Stable update:open directly into private mode by right-clicking the Opera icon in the task bar
then I can confirm here.

I'm using the Windows version. It's because I open directly into private mode by right-clicking the Opera icon in the task bar. It doesn't happen when I first open Opera in normal mode and then open a private mode window. A screenshot will of course not help in this case. You got it right, I just get a darkened screen, nothing more. -

@whisperer said in Opera 119.0.5497.56 Stable update:
Why do you have to scroll beyond an idiotic large image to read the changelog?
I mean this image:
Why was this post removed? Was it because of the large image? If this is considered abuse, then why is Opera abusing it's users this way?
