This version has been withdrawn. @deathcat I also think, they should focus on the normal flagship browser. From a marketing perspective I see some worth in building a gimmicky browser, but here's where the sustainable win lies with long time users. Speaking only about me, I wish a reliable and secure browser, not one trailing recent Chromium versions.

Only for the record: It's really not an issue for Mac only. I made a clean install from the official website on my Windows work PC and got the same result: It's version 116 still.

Running Windows 10. I too have not been able to install Opera 117 since the announcement 6 days ago on Feb 13th 2025.

There is no mention whatsoever as to why the base version 117.0.5408.32 announced Feb 13 never made it out there, This is really bad that Opera yet again made no official comment. Users suspect that Opera is learning too many bad habits from Microsoft.

@raphaelbm Yes, communication isn't always ideal. They call it an "stable update", although it's the first stable version for a whole lot of users at all.
