@weilan I don't even want the speed dial as store all the links in bookmarks bar. The speed dial tab process itself takes quite a memory hog even when it's not opened. Speed dial is good for Mobile version only since you don't have to dig into menus for the links/bookmarks.
Don't understand why there is no feature to completely disable (not turn off) such features which the end users don't need.

What is the memory usage of Speed Dials when turned off in opera://settings?

@vegelund It's basically the start page, not just the speed dial component of it. Everything is disabled from start page under settings page, restarted and still the task manager shows 2 process for speed dial tab totalling of 40~50 mb of footprint.

Okay. I have not thought about it or noticed.
I find the speed of my Opera Browser to be extremely snappy and fast. -

I sitll can't convert my imported bookmarks into speed dial entries, useless browser for me.

@vegelund: yes except you lose functionality and that compensates the speed you gained.

@hectormaciasa1979 did you try: opening the bookmarks > right-click on one of the tabs > Save > all tabs as Speed Dial folder ?

Even the Speed Dial button is one button that I don't need, probably clicked once to see what it does and never clicked again, but I can't disable it.
Needs to be turned into a edible home button.

@hectormaciasa1979 What happens when you goto the URL
opera://bookmarks
and copy/move the imported bookmarks from where they are to your "Speed dial" bookmarks folder? -

@nashuim Known issue/work in progress.
Thanks for the confirmation. Any reference/link for the WIP so I can see when it's fixed?

I lost all my opened tabs in all space using this build. It happened after I closed the browser with opened and pinned music player in the sidebar. Thanks to God, I recently saved all tabs to speed dial
