@burnout426 There's a
libffmpeg.so
for Chromium 100 (Opera 86) you can find via the "Look here" link on this page. Just note that it requires Glib 2..35. -

That's the problem because of the stupid - gamers
Developers return the version to its place. Stop listening to idiots and bring your shit to all people. -

Today is probably the last day i'll be using Opera. The workaround for disabling the fast tab tooltips has been removed and i really hate the damned things. I want to relax when at home, not be constantly irritated by dreadful design on a browser. It may not seem like much, but sometimes the little things are what makes a real difference.
I'll drop in to see if you add a setting to disable them whilst i search yet again for a usable browser. I'm starting to run out of options....

Why do I keep getting warning messages when I open links from a program outside Opera?

I'm in a similar boat. I've been hoping they'd reimplement those flags or a setting for the fast tabs nonsense, but.... no dice so far. It's killing my workflow multiple times a day, especially since just hovering the mouse in the wrong spot disables keyboard shortcuts. And with a dual screen setup with two different resolution screens, I end up in the general area of the tab bar very often.

@simcard78 At the URL
opera://settings/onStartup
, there's "Ask me when Opera is started by a shortcut specifying an URL" that's enabled by default. If that's disabled though and you still get it, it's probably a bug. -

@darkchaplain: That's why I disabled updating Opera. I stay by update 82 and hopefully it remains so for years. I like Opera, but I hate, when someone press me with things I don't want.

@darkchaplain: A setting for it has been implemented, it wasn't in time for this developer release but you'll see it next time.

This is a bug, can you expand a bit on this? What platform are you on and which keyboard shortcuts get disabled?

@avl I'm on regular old Windows 10 x64, up to date consumer builds. It's been going on ever since the fast tab list got implemented.
The moment my mouse hovers over any tab and triggers the delayed popping up of the tab description / list of related tabs, shortcuts like ctrl+w or other current tab affecting ones lose focus, so to say. They'll not trigger; at best, they'll close the tooltip and list, and can then be repeated, once it's gone.
I'm happy to hear that there's finally a proper setting for it, though. That's all I ever asked for: Settings to let me decide if a feature is beneficial or detrimental to my workflow, and turn it on or off accordingly.

@darkchaplain if you don't know what "suspend this tab" is in the suspender addon" then you just fell behind in terms of stable and fast convenience of managing yourself, and not above you. Start thinking with your own head, not someone else's.

@g3-scorpio You're either not responding to the correct post, or not understanding my issue. I'm not using any conflicting extensions, and the problem is occuring only with the fast-tab feature enabled.
Either way, you're acting like a jerk. -

@simcard78: I had the same problem and the switch was here enabled too. I have never enabled it. In all versions before it was no problem to call urls from outside of Opera.

It's always been enabled by default. There's probably just a bug with it. There was already a recent bug with it that was fixed. There's probably just something more to fix.

@darkchaplain: Thank you, we've reproduced the bug with keyboard shortcuts. It has been reported as DNA-98231.

@burnout426: this is so annoying... This should be fixed! I can't imagine that regular user will do all this checking and installing... I have few other Chromium based browsers and this problem is only with Opera browser. Other browsers are doing all that job automatically. Also I don't have glib 2.35 version... Snap version need 1 minute and 35 seconds to open. So snap version is not alternative for me.

@predrag83yu It's a legal issue, Opera can't do that much about it.
