@treego said in Opera 79.0.4143.50 Stable update:
No update available on Chromebook/Linux, yet ... thank you, though, Kornelia.
Version:79.0.4143.50 updated on my Chromebook/Linux just a few moments ago ... probably about 3-4 hours since your blog post ... a slight delay ... nothing too earth-shattering here ... thank you, Opera and Kornelia once again.

Why was this new blog post hidden in the middle of the page?
Why Open the Web?
Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content. -

Error while installing Google Translator extension in Opera Stable, Beta and Developer. In Opera GX it's working normally.

@hectormaciasa1979 That strange blog organization has been going on for years and they are hiding updates with it and blog posts. New content should not be in the middle or bottom or on the 2nd page.

I heavily rely on mouse gestures to close my tabs, sometimes I blindly use the gesture multiple times until everything is closed and only speed dial is displayed. Applying the close gesture then would not close the browser.
Several days ago, that behavior changed. Sometimes (not always), using the close gesture on speed dial (with no other tabs open) closes the browser entirely.
Steps to reproduce: open opera with no tabs open. open any site. use close gesture twice -> browser is closed.
Sometimes, a gesture will even close opera, when there are some other tabs open (although I didn't figure out how to reproduce ist).(this behavior also applies on the regular close-tab-hotkeys)
Please, please, please fix that

Trying to change the picture of sites on speed dial tiles doesn't work. Even when adding a new one in bookmarks it only shows the tile with the sites main address name. Like "msi.com" or "skroutz.gr".
Can someone confirm pls? -

Why is there no longer a keyboard shortcut in the address bar for the "paste and call/search" function?
-> Ctrl+Shift+V -
