@davey126: That's your personal opinion and i respect it. But the hole point is to improve
functionality, right? In this case there's a lot of people feeling frustrated with the absence of previous feature. Otherwise we wouldn't see that many posts about it.
So i believe they should reconsider their decision in this case and give users the opportunity to disable stuff they don't like. Don't you think?

RE: Scroll to the top of the pageOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Thanks for replying. About the command, i'm not sure how to use it. Where do i put the "--disable-site-isolation-trials" command exactly!
The problem does appear after login. What i can't understand is how nobody else seems to have this problem. And of course it's not normal to use extra commands every time, in order to make it work. Don't you think?
Just a little help with the command to check it out, though i believe it's a real problem they should fix. -
Open in new tab extra featureSuggestions and feature requests
While using Firefox in the past, when i was choosing the "open in new tab" option, it had this really nice feature showing the new opened tab without having to manually select it, like i do now in your browser.
I'd really like to see this in opera. -

@stolis First, Opera has some dozen of millions of users, so ten, twenty people don't seem to represent the majority of users.
Also, as usually always happen, the ones who didn't like the change are more active, making it look like they are a majority.First: Opera used to have a dozen of million users. There’s a dozen of “desktop browsers market share” sites, showing the exact opposite. Worldwide-March 2020, opera 2,37% usage. Source https://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share/desktop/worldwide and many others. There’s no need mentioning.
Second: If you-they consider that the 50% of complaining posts about the withdrawal of previous instant search feature represent a minority of users, I’ve got nothing to say.
Third: The major problem every time they add a new feature, is that they also remove any kind of option for disabling them. At least in most of the cases. Allow me to say that this behavior doesn’t look nice. It seems like they don’t really care about their users. Now you might say that this is just a personal point of view which doesn’t represent the majority of opera users, but on the other side the complaining posts shows the exact opposite. Unless I have to return back to school to learn math’s from the beginning, cause it seems I can’t really understand the meaning of numbers.
So, I’d really like to know how they end up taking decisions about the usability of features if they don’t give attention on users complains in their own blog? From where they get the numbers you-they are talking about? Seems like their ignoring them.
Eventually even the existence of this blog turns to be useless as well.

RE: How to deactivate the pop-up window of play, backspace, and increase opera volume?Opera for Windows
@leocg said in How to deactivate the pop-up window of play, backspace, and increase opera volume?:
@dominusdrt As said in previous similar topics, try disabling opera://flags/#hardware-media-key-handling
Can you please tell me how to enter flags?

RE: Open in new tab extra featureSuggestions and feature requests
@burnout426 Thanks for the shortcut. Didn't know about it and i couldn't find it into the keyboard settings.
Either way i still believe that such an option into the tab settings it would be very useful. -
RE: Opera 68.0.3618.56 Stable updateBlogs
I rarely have more than 10 to 20 (max) open tabs, so "search in tabs" is totally useless to me. Please put an option in settings for disabling it or re-enabling the "Recently closed tabs/windows" button.

RE: Open in new tab extra featureSuggestions and feature requests
@burnout426 I'm going to check on vivaldi as you suggest but i have to insist on this one. I don't want to use extra extensions for something that i believe is so simple to create. At least that's my opinion.
Of course it's up to chromium devs. I suppose it could be a suggestion from operas devs? Don't you think? -

@stolis: That's exclusive for you. We're clearly not in the same boat. Even now. Simply bookmark all currently opened tabs. It comes in handy. As you don't lose your projects when you close your Opera Browser program. I am sure it is available on all the supported browsers.
What exactly is exclusive for me and why should i bookmark "all" opened tabs? What's the relevance with previous instant search feature, were talking about?

RE: Opera 87.0.4390.45Blogs
@vegelund: This is the big mystery with Opera. While everything works nice and smoothly, it comes an update which suddenly creates several and many times different malfunctions to users that they didn't have before.
I also (among others) wasn't facing any delays on loading time until 86...50. But the main problem is that you can't tell what might has caused it in order to find a possible solution. As you are saying it doesn't appear to you.
Or for example, the problem that dear andrew84 has with the "tab closing cross", it doesn't appear to me. That's what I mean.As for the options that exist in order to move to the top of a page, I know there are many ways but I suppose that's the whole meaning for the existence of this function. Avoiding them. I find it much more comfortable than having to use the keyboard it's time. Plus the usability it gives to return back to the point of the page you were before. Can't do that with keyboard.

RE: Opera 87.0.4390.45Blogs
Have you noticed any improvement in the speed dial loading time?
I'd like to know before I decide to update.
Thank you.And a small suggestion-"request". It would be very useful if you could add the "scroll to the top of the page" function in speed dial and settings page as well.

RE: Opera 87 StableBlogs
@leocg Maybe the num doesn't look that big, but out of 4 different browsers I use, opera is the only that runs so many processes and needs this amount of MB.
That's the whole point.Any answer about the speed dial delay?

RE: Opera 87 StableBlogs
@dnzrzx34: Yes, you've got a point but let's not forget the fact that they keep filling them with more and more features (not necessarily useful).
Right now I have 16 backround tasks running and about 500MB memory usage with just one tab open, without using any extension and most of the "extra features" disabled.
Anyway, this "thing" with speed dial opening delay (which started from 86...50) does exist and even got worse. Before 86 it was loading almost instantly.
They definitely need to check it out and fix it. - Blogs

RE: Opera 85Blogs
@leocg So. If these are talking about the long list, ok. I'll just pass.
I could add a lot more but it's pointless anymore.
Nothing more to say. -
RE: Opera 85Blogs
@leocg: I’m aware of what that option is about.
As for second, it’s obvious that had never been an option about that crap, because it didn’t exist.
The point is, that after so many negative comments about it, they don’t seem to even consider creating one. At least from what I see in the changelogs of future versions.
I’ve written about this behavior (ignoring users opinions-requests) many times in the past and the result of it at the end. Pushing people away.
And the most sadly is that they keep walking in this path for a long time now.
Bottom line. Add one more on the dumping opera list.
