@andrew84: That's a very old problem Opera never cared about. It's been going on for years.

Why Opera reloads the page when I click "Inspect Element" for the first time? I see this issues at least last 5 builds. Very annoying

@hectormaciasa1979 I'm using the 69 version daily and I don't have the issue. Developer version I use occasionally (to check bugs fixing and new features) so for me the issue is in the versions which are greater than 69.

              Thank you for reports @andrew84.

A few explanations about your notices.

              1. DNA-88977 - The change only affects Babe feature

              2. Working on it.

              3. It's intended behaviour. The same happens if you change context ( Open A new Tab, open another Tab, open OMenu etc.)

              4. Also intended behaviour. If monitor width is too small, only columns with the highest priority visible. You can notice the similar behaviour in restore mode also.

                1. what do you mean? It doesn't work on the BABE too. In 73.0.3827.0 it worked on both Search Tabs and on the BABE popups. https://forums.opera.com/post/226571
And this is logical because the 'recently closed window' feature worked in previous TabMenu too.
                2. Sorry, I did not understand what context? I can compare it with how it works in previous TabMenu. If I close currently active tab within the Search Tabs popup the popup closes. I can do the same in the old Tab Menu and dropdown stays opened.
                3. Monitor width is not small, but the resolution is low. If I set page zoom in Setting to 125%, I also don't see all the columns and items are cut at the bottom on 1920x1080 monitor.

                  3. So for me the BABE feature is not usable on both laptop with 1366x768 display and PC with 1920x1080 monitor.
I use 125% zoom by default in Settings on PC with 1920x1080 monitor and 100% zoom on laptop. In both cases I don't see all the columns and on 1920x1080 monitors items are cut.

*I don't understand why BABE reacts on web page zoom in Settings (also Bookmarks/History sidebar panels). This is a part of UI and Its zoom should be locked (at 100% I guess) like in EasySetup panel, SidebarSetup or address bar dropdown.
If not all the columns fit on the pane even within 100% zoom (like on 1366x768 laptop for example), then horizontal scroll should appear. Also, there should be BABE's settings where I can select which columns I need. Otherwise it looks like a poorly designed feature which doesn't take into account different displays resolutions and different options in the browser Settings.

There's an invisible border line (in both dark/light themes) which allows to change width of the folders tree/content panes. https://forums.opera.com/post/229682

@andrew84: the bug reminded me about visual issues on 'Personal News' page.

                      1. Search section is not separated and has the same color as background does. And as a result in dark theme it looks different.
                      2. Some ugly highlighting effect for 'Add source' item.
                        2020-11-04_230628.png

*I reported about this many times in the past, but still not fixed )

@andrew84 It's more complex, but in some part justifiable.

For the second time Opera invited me me with
                          ERROR
Something went wrong while parsing server response

BTW The Yandex Disk and specially Yandex Albums degenerated to gutter. I can do few things only with my images now, far from that times when I was able to fancy things.. My tough luck, alas.

The third image of yours shows folded ribbon. 🙂 When you click the fold and keeping the pressing you move your cursor to the right, the ribbon will cover the Preview info.

Strange and unnecessary, but acceptable. 🙂

@pavelopdev @pavelopdev I've changed the method of showing screenshots. The new one - one address (hyperlink) to one image, not to the whole Album as before. It'll bring me less work.

I beg your pardon for the mess.

It seems like Opera's history search feature throws sporadically, when entering stuff into the address field (aka omnibar):
                              Uncaught (in promise) →Object chrome://op-resources/modules/services/history.js:19

The result is a non-responsiveness to [Enter] of the tab.

                              [Opera/dev/latest, Win10/latest; chrome.omnibox extensions active]

                                • This version seems to be much slower than the last 73.x developer. I see this when I reload a page.
                                • Facebook sometimes stops doing anything. The tab seems to be frozen.
                                • This version of Opera sometimes does not recognize my search engine shortcuts. It simply does nothing.

@ghirahim Yes, I think this is all the same problem, that Xantares and I already found. The search doesn't work, the auto completion doesn't work and the search engines shortcuts don't work. Not always, but mostly.

I went back to the former version 73.0.3856.0 and now I have the same problem there. The address bar search doesn't work, the auto completion (of pages saved as speed dial or bookmark) doesn't work and the search engines shortcuts don't work. Mostly, not always. Maybe it has something to do with Windows 10x64 20h2.
Note: I did not install the old version over the new one. I deleted the new 74.x completely and copied the old 73.x back from my backup folder (stand alone version).

@ghirahim Before I also did not have this problem. Have you upgraded to Windows 20h2? And have you tried out to copy your old 73.x Opera back? Suddenly the problem is there.
I found out, when I open a new tab and the address bar search does not work, I reload the (empty) page with SHIFT-F5 or CTRL-F5 (reload without cache) and then it works.
