Would have been cool to have a list of changed settings. Because of a different default flag for samesite cookies, I couldnt sign in to a website and was looking for the reason
opera://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies
V71: Default [E]
V68: Default [D] -

@hectormaciasa1979: Update: I reset all Opera flags, I don't even remember if I changed something in the past because it's too long I ever played with them and the last ten or twenty major versions didn't have a problem.
So far it's working, will update if problem returns.

@hectormaciasa1979: Problem just returned, this is really sad. I don't feel comfortable with other browsers, no matter how hard I try to like them. Will either stick to beta if it works, or go back to 70 and wait.
You're letting us down big time.
Menus don't highlight and recently closed tabs dialog freezes, emergent search/copy menu also won't work.
Windows 10.

Do it, just go back to 70. 71 is a complete wash and will never be right. Version 70 is just fine for a while. You aren't going to really miss anything that important. Any "security" updates that may not be present in 70 aren't that big of a deal for the vast majority of users.
Go back to 70 and forget about it until 72 comes out and maybe that version will be better.

when upgrading from v.70 to v.71 on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS. I have lost O menu, right click menus and all saved passwords. Default installation is from snap store. When I bring installation back to v.70 it does work, then during automatic updates things get messed again.

@ljgww You can check if the tip mentioned in this comment helps in your case.

@leocg: no they didn't. Not only you need to go through the menus to find it, it is limited to the last 10 tabs only. What the community has been asking for is an option to bring back that old button to replace 'Search in tabs'

Why is it not going back to the last used tab when you close a tab, like it used to? Is there any way to bring it back? Why would I use Opera if you keep destroying all features that make it unique? If you want to make it just like Chrome I might as well just stick to it.

@leocg yes @leocg is right. I use old button for 2 reasons.
1, more then 10 tabs
2, sync via cloud with my personal computer, corporate computer etc.I don't need to search between tabs, I don't need to search the content of all pages. when i need to find something, i need to find it on one page.
why make it so complicated. just return the opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs, or make button... and give the user a choice ... i dont know, mayby is new button for someone usefull... it would be a win on both sides ...
or just make a button to turn off automatic updates and everyone would be happy. no one would download the new version and everyone would stay with 69
