Opera 66 initial release makes it easier to reopen closed tabs and to access extensions

Extension panel is gone. Now it is harder to use extensions in the sidebar because they are displayed only after an additional click on extension icon.

Disappointing updates!
Picture in picture option sucks now (before it was working excellent - the thing I was using Opera in the first place)
Extension: Tree Tabs is weird (it can't be resized) -

@ratamon: if you're on Windows or Linux you can re-enable it through #sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar.

Return the previous design of the pop-up video, they always do a bad job with this function, it was already perfect and now they ruin it again.
Thanks . -

@leocg can you tell me why did you blatantly lied to me in blog post (which is locked now) about the inability to revert to old behaviour of pop-up video by using settings?
Guys, can someone tell me how surefire way to lock Opera updates? I did it in a past but after few releases in stopped working to me and Opera updated itself anyway.

@kamil7165 There is no option in Opera settings to revert to the old video po-out.
Flags are not part of settings, they are temporary switches for developers (and those who want to test) to enable/disable features that are still in development and on every update there is a 50% chance that a flag will be removed or that a new one will be added. -

@kamil7165: I don't mind if the settings are named "User Settings", "Settings" or simply "Flags". Additionally there is also high probability that some non-developer settings will be removed in next releases, so that's meaningless.

Hi @domovnik, you can still turn it off by disabling
opera:flags#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar
, and restarting the browser. Also it affects only extensions made for the sidebar, the rest of them are still working the same way as before, and displayed in e.g. toolbar or address bar. -

@l33t4opera @burnout426 Bingo and there the normal Ctrl+Shift+S works for extension sidepanel again

Hi @teknomobil, @vfbfan, @andrew84, @firuz-u7, @ohmanger, @james438, regarding the issues with the new video pop-out, you can still use the old pop-out implemented by the Opera. All you have to do, is to disable the two flags mentioned here by @kened, then restart the browser. Important is to disable both flags to avoid the issue with freezing/pausing videos in the pop-out.
