@jojo0587: restart Opera and now open bookmarks in sidebar panel.
My proposals for changes in Opera (Google Document).
- There are not enough signs to put all the links here. -

Updated to Opera Version 65.0.3467.38 but the sidebar panel Bookmarks is not as described in this version's overview at https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2019/11/opera-65-comes-with-an-improved-tracker-blocker-and-redesigned-address-bar/

@paul-durham: Just like jojo0587, I now realise I had to perform a double-restart of Opera for the change to take effect. This should have taken effect on the 1st restart.

Maybe add the option of marking bookmarks in tab-bookmarks. Thanks to that in bookmarks in sidebar panel we will be able to delete several bookmarks at once or move them.

I may want to open Bookmarks page instead of that side-panel using the sidebar (the same is with History in future). I think these panels should be optional in sidebar settings (1 toggle button for History and another one for Bookmarks ).

History in the sidebar panel could contain the full address of the page after hovering over the item (as in tab-history)?

Quick Access has deleted from Opera? Why? I like this function. In future back?

Snap version of Opera 65.0.3467.38 does not start, blog post does not report new version of Snap version but https://snapcraft.io/opera did update to this version, I have to use "snap revert opera" to be able to use the previous version and open Opera.
The operating system is Debian 9, if I try to open Opera via terminal I get this:
"You need to connect this snap to the gnome platform snap.
You can do this with those commands:
snap install gnome-3-28-1804
snap connect opera:gnome-3-28-1804 gnome-3-28-1804"
But "gnome-3-28-1804" is already installed, and the command to connect Opera does not make Opera start with version 65.0.3467.38. -

Strange that the History panel wasn't mentioned in the announcement.
Tooltips for items in panel should be the same dark as on internal Bookmarks/History pages, I guess.
*And address's tooltip popup (when hovering links) at the left bottom of screen should be dark too in dark theme (In Chrome they are dark by the way)

Having the options in the sidebar settings would be great. For now, we at least have the settings in
opera://flags

Please tell me that the fade to gray effect on the tab, when writing on the address bar, can be disabled!?
Also, I can not get the bookmarks to open as a sidebar panel, Clicking the bookmarks icon on the sidebar opens the bookmarks tab as usual.
Linux x64 (debian testing) and opera installed from the deb repo, because I hate snaps.
