Loop issues here: https://youtu.be/8lxmYnDCr_k
After cleaning cookies and cache it worked BUT only for a while amd then I started looping again.
So would be fine they fix it finally. It's really irritating issue, permanently login in private mode... -

I had reported in
- https://www.opera.com/blogs/desktop/
But, is there a better place to report it?

This would be the place for it.
It's your your reference about The Forum as right place or about The Blog?
Is at least 3 days old bug "in all forums, I suppose".Do Opera workers check the Forum?
So far I only saw it happening once and was able to fix it by logging out and then logging in again.
The problem remains even after that

This - the forum - is the place for it. I presume the forum software was updated recently but something went wrong - they either need to revert the change or (if they understand the software well enough, as it isn't "in house" software) try to fix it. Until one of the webmasters replies we don't know.

Still exactly the same here.
Works after cookies cleared until the following day, when it just keeps looping again.
If I stop the loop and try to log in I just get -
"You tried to access the address http://forums.opera.com:8081/, which is currently unavailable."
The only way back in is to clear the cookies again, after which it works for a while but then always fails again.

Around noon today (US EST time, 28 Jan 2017), I began getting some clusters of '502 gateway errors' while trying to use Vivaldi to access Opera's forums; later, it all seems to have cleared up (fingers crossed!). But it's getting to be kind of like waiting for the next shoe to drop --

... and 9 hours later, now we're back to the perpetual forum index regardless of what forum I attempt to access. Even attempts at signing in does it.
After deleting all Opera's site cookies, everything's back fine again.

Yes, problems with 8081 port. If I have a clue is that 8081 is open on Opera Mini servers and 8080 on Demo ones.

I am getting this in Linux. Have had to load up Firefox browser. We shouldn't have to clear cookies. People might be using cookies for other websites. Will try clearing the ones for Opera website to see if that helps.

Feels that https://my-beta.opera.com reset auth is cut off, it shouldn't. That URL must force logout.

So, thus far, it happens on Windows and Linux systems; it happens with Olde Opera, New Opera, and Vivaldi. That's a fair cross-section which indicates there's something peculiar going on with the Opera website(s) and at least its cookies.

It happens on Android and Mac (I told users who were reporting it in those forums to come here) and on Firefox if you were previously logged in. Clearing cookies for "opera.com" seems to fix it (no, you don't have to clear all cookies - click on the "All cookies and site data" button to clear cookies for a specific site, or go to opera://settings/cookies )

I'm getting this too, with Chrome 56.0.2924.76 (64-bit) on Win 10.
After deleting all Opera's site cookies, everything's back fine again.
Yep, if I clear all opera.com cookies (not just forums.opera.com), things work fine again for a bit. But, the problem returns.
