Seems many others have this issue, came out of nowhere, clearing cache and disabling extensions didn't help. Logging out and back in. etc. Why does opera Re-Open instantly every time I close it?

The sheer number of sites that fail in Opera is getting crazy, I'm going to have to switch browsers. EVEN the opera forum doesn't open in opera!?

Using Windows 10.

Any help appreciated before I guess I have to quit.

There's a funny thing: Opera worked perfectly for me regarding playing video and then after an update, it hasn't worked anymore. "opera-stable" loll. Very stable.
Anyway, alternative way to the solution of @Foxbiker is to use libffmpeg of codium.
sudo rm /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-stable/libffmpeg.so sudo ln -s /usr/share/codium/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-stable/libffmpeg.so

@abiprince345 Being logged in is a matter of cookies, so check your cookie settings in Opera and in any third-party "Internet privacy" programs you may have installed.

@ast-die1 Export the passwords in opera://settings/passwords, in the old installation, and import in the same place, in the new installation.

If passwords import isn't available, enable opera://flags/#password-import
