@leocg Of course, I deleted that one, and all of the others with "Extension" in the name. The information is stored somewhere else also. The browser still thinks they exist, only corrupted, and recreates the folders.

RE: How to remove all extensions?Opera for computers
@leocg I'm telling you, they just won't go away. But there has got to be some folder where all extension information and settings (and their inventory) are kept. I want to wipe that completely clean and make Opera forget I even had any. If I don't find that memory, reinstalling the browser won't do anything.

RE: How to remove all extensions?Opera for computers
@leocg That doesn't work. They simply appear on the next start as "corrupted" and need to be repaired, and the error message is still there.

How to remove all extensions?Opera for computers
Since I got zilch replies to my question about a problem with an extension that refuses to be identified but shows an error message on every start-up, I'm going to remove all extensions and all of their data. I'll appreciate advice on how to do that. If I don't get it, I'm going to uninstall Opera altogether and only keep the bookmarks, and reinstall it later, but without the extension settings stored god knows where the bug will probably come back. Anyway, I feel no particular attachment to this browser anymore.
By the way, if anyone from the company is reading this: really lousy forums. I don't mean the people, but this place is like a postapocaliptic hole, survive as you can.

An invisible "disabled" extensionOpera for computers
Hi everyone. I registered just to find a solution to this annoying problem. Whenever I start Opera (desktop, version 77, suits me fine in other respects, Windows 7), I get a message "Your extension was disabled because it is corrupted. Go to the extension manager to repair it." But there is nothing under "Disabled." The developer mode doesn't bring any new information. I'm pretty sick of seeing this pop-up.
I think the culprit is this plug-in for setting page character encoding, from Google Play: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/set-character-encoding/bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae. It used to work well for me under different browser versions, or possibly some different settings, but it doesn't now, and although the browser declares an installation, the right-click menu option, for choosing the character set, is not there when I start the browser again. It would seem that this is the problematic extension, and I have only four others installed, or at least all that I remember installing. They sit snug on the Enabled list, and Disabled is empty.
If this extension is the problem, how can I get rid of it? I tried installing it again, on purpose, then using Remove in Extensions to try a clean uninstallation, but nothing changed. Going by that intuitive handle, bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae, I looked for such a subfolder in the Extensions directory of my profile, but there wasn't one there (in fact, there aren't even all four folders for the others). I deleted references to bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae from Preferences and its backup version, but the extension is just unforgettable.
Any ideas?
