Hi Leo & Sgun - Thanks for that input. I've noticed the Oops error has (for me) been a recent appearance though I can't pin down when it started. It either happens or it doesn't.
For that reason, I would tend to err more towards the suggestion Leo makes re server issue, which I think sounds more probable.
Perhaps this error will resolve itself once we get the new forums. It doesn't appear often with me, but was worth mentioning in case other users had the same. š
There is need to open a topic just for that. You can reply in the topic itself asking for it to be moved or you can report your own topic also asking for it to be moved.
In case you didn't get the sarcasm, Leo is saying you posted in the wrong part of the forum (since your question is about the browser and not the forums themselves).
But to avoid issues with malware changing your search to something you don't want, the default search engine has to be one of the ones that comes with the browser.
Today (now), with Firefox, first it was "Oops", then I appeared not logged in, then I logged, and the "older and different issue" appeared (with the port) again.
Hi amaczak, confirmed all working smoothly once again, thank you.
Regarding Blogs, as mentioned in my first post, when trying to read changelogs at blogs, the exact same error appeared. Have just checked and now appears okay after the fix.
It seems to come and go. The past week or so, it's been pretty loose. Back around the 7th of this month, it was beyond tight. I'd comment here about the probable gender of the HM, but then I'd be in deeper doo-doo than I occasionally fall into.
All I know is it wasn't there when I approved your other posts. Most likely some built-in limit (too many unapproved posts) or an error on your end. Doesn't matter now - post it properly and go on. This topic violates the rules and is now closed.
