The developers who worked on this forum should consider further development...

Well, but while they should, why not us, users, report good threads, and when some get a number of requests, a mod could pin it.
And edit the title, if needed.

Having a large number of pinned topics may not be very helpful imho. Something like this FAQ would be more useful.

Or maybe there could be a way to sort topics/posts by votes.

That's a good point, although it still remains hard for me to envision a 'profitable' aggregate return for the baba spam at the various forums I checked out via Google... many of them were semi-technical (like Opera's forums) or were "specialty" sites for gamers, etc. In any case, something must obviously be working out for the spammers financially, since they're so persistent. I do know the leading "client" (A.K.Joll) continually sponsored by the baba spam has his own website, so any legal sanctions against at least him must not apply in his locale.

Just accessed with another version of Firefox - 4.0.
I expected a total loss of all accesses (like losing cookies upon such switching or I don't know what), but surprisingly, I occurred happily logged in now.

That's because you're using the NSA variants of Firefox... they know everything you do, and sometimes, they'll even "help" you with what you do. 😃

Which would be a pity, wouldn't it, if the spam posting was actually originating in Vietnam or Pakistan or Bulgaria? Just because the topic of the spam is located in India doesn't mean the spam poster himself is located there... a lot of this stuff is contracted out as a bulk commodity arrangement.

@digmed, Opera blogs does not have favicon yet.

I don't think it was fixed. 🙂 But i'm seeing favicons here as it seems.

I am not seeing anything. Check some post of Desktop team blogs, there is no favicons.

I've tried a few ones and it seems random: sometimes it shows the favicon, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm guessing that the spamming here involves a middleman, hired by the shills running the website and paid to deliver spam on a per-unit basis. Of course, in the shady business of scamming/spamming/hacking, one area can quickly blur into another and they may all be subset parts of something more broadly organized.

Oh, transfer was in February or March. They shouldn't have removed anything after they made the transfer. But they did try to reduce duplication - if there were 10 other topics the same as yours they may have grabbed one of them instead.
