Thx for the info, at last there's some kind of solution but that guy from above given link refers to the issue with OM 8 (I have the same trouble on OM 7.6) and during Web browsing it's inconvenient to change the browser to the other one, eg OM 12.
Let's hope Opera team can find the solution for older browsers.

Opera for Android dropped the "mini" mode and has a bit different UI. Opera Mini is the "old mini" browser with reworked UI and a Turbo mode as a bonus 😉 Install both of them and see which one you prefer more.

The time has come for a new beta of Opera Mini 12. Since the last beta, we have squashed many crashers and over 70 bugs in total. And, if you get Facebook notifications in Opera Mini, they will now include profile pictures, so you can see more easily who is sending you a message.
Recently, we unveiled Opera’s new brand identity, which includes a new logo. In today's release, we have updated the icons used inside Opera Mini, but the app icon that appears on your phone will remain the same for now - it will be updated in a future release.

Listen if any file size is unknown then Opera Mini can't download any unknown file. If download sites is password protected example (401 Unauthorized) then Opera Mini can't download any unknown file size its session problem because Opera Mini hit direct download link and link is encrypt or password protected then opera mini can't download any unknown file size.

this link is encrypted then opera mini hit direct link then opera mini can't download any unknown file size.

here is example. 1. go to (www.hideme.be) 2. then go to any download web site then download any file size via (www.hideme.be) with OPERA MINI then you see what is the main problem.

Then you're testing the wrong thing. Mini for Android (and iOS for that matter) DOES support TLS 1.2 and doesn't contain any of the vulnerabilities mentioned in the first post.

Opera Mini has too much problem, lack of features, slow speed downloading etc etc. Though users send their feedback to add many features but Opera Mini team doesn't add those features & also they don't fixed those problem yet. I'm facing some problem since 2009 (Opera Mini in on java) & still 2015 in Opera Mini on Android. Totally annoying

Please Fix Download Resume feature. It doesn't work correctly. Always failed to Resume. Upgrade the Opera Mini's built-in Download Manager to download any file super speedy because Opera Mini's downloading speed is too much slow.
Export from Opera Mini for Android) to Opera for Mobile (or for desktop)

New Opera Mini should bring back previous old Opera Mini (version 7.6.4) text copying system. Because in new Opera Mini text copying system is much more complicated than old one. In new version Opera Mini can't copy all of the words are written in a dialogue box by long press taping. All that I've to first enter any dialogue writer box then long press then copy some of the word then press at the left corner. It's too much Complicated. I left Opera Mini only for this reason. Also Opera Mini can't save bookmarks & saved pages by Alphabetically. Also there is no saved pages backup & restore system.
Can't log in to opera mini Android...

I made the mistake of downloading Opera mini onto my phone MONTHS ago.. and since then I can not access the internet.. I COULD access before I had the blessed thing.. I would like very much to remove it from my phone... how do I go about that please , given that I can not access anything ?
