on the recent version I noticed that e-commerce sites like amazon, ebay, etc are forced to load in high saving mode and I kinda hate that.
I know that it gotta be for security reason in purchasing, but what if I just want to take a quick look?

I'm on 2G network for power saving and high saving mode just don't perform as good as the extreme. most of the time it just fail to load the page for reasons like empty response, tunnel connection failed, or just giving 'no connection' page.

So I got an idea, what about just advise to use high saving for credential-sensitive use instead of forcing it?

I see one Linux, one not even Opera, then the rest are Mini. You have any relative URLs in your code?

Opera seems to be the primary culprit. Safe to say we have numerous relative URLs on our pages. Why would that be an issue?

You're right, Extreme mode is the same what you can find in other Opera Mini versions. High mode is similar to Opera for Android, but Opera Mini uses internal Android web engine, while Opera for Android runs it's own engine (thus making it much bigger).

@turtleshroom, I think it's possible to backup an app in iTunes. So you can probably save your Opera Mini installation on your computer and then restore it on some newer iPhone (with at least iOS 7). Then you can upgrade this Opera Mini 7 to recent version. Bookmarks and Speed Dials from version 7 should be preserved when upgrading to new version. Then you can set up sync to get your bookmarks uploaded and once it's done you can uninstall Opera Mini on iPhone and set up sync on your new Android phone.

If you're kind of a hacker, you may try to download Opera Mini app data from you iPhone and extract the file with bookmarks. Then find and install Opera Mini 7.0.5 on Android. Then you need to find a file with the same filename as previously extracted from iPhone and replace the file. I'm not sure if it will work, but if you have some spare time then just try and I wish you good luck:)

why m.olx.co.id forced to load in high saving even when I'm not switching? I got no problem in extreme saving before.

and suggestion : utilise 'account sign in' on device so it could be shared within opera apps and web like google so we won't have to signing in multiple times in case we switch device.

Opera mini is good to download a file at a time if there is no Internet connection drop out or phone accidentally switched off... But if this happen it is really troublesome to continue from the last downloaded pause because the resulting phenomenon is failed... I try to download big files from torrent by online torrent leeching sites like zbigZ. Com or bitport.io but become disappointed again and again finding no true development for opera mini download... It is major down for opera... And i have to switch UC that is really troublesome

It's probably impossible to do what you want, since Mini servers want have access to the page. You shall be able to what you want in built in browser and then switch to Mini.

Most probably because it's a real browser and don't rely on a server to show you pages, etc.
