Ok I think the problem was somewhat fixed and I don't know why.
I read into the problem a little bit more specifically for Linux and fond that in earlier versions you had to install libu2f-host0. After installing it Opera still crashed. I came back to the problem today and it just worked somhow. I don't know why exactly especially since I restarted Opera multiple times before and after installing libu2f and I don't even know if libu2f was the problem. But somehow it just worked today. Weird.
@benyamin90 I have reported this issue as a bug to the Opera wizard. I use Manjaro stable and a desktop (KDE Plasma) that is not based on gnome, perhaps that is what causes the keyring to fail. I think Opera shouldn't rely on the desktop being used.
Also regarding the des-sync, it happens only sometimes to me, and i couldn't figure it out when exactly it happens.
WHen the problem is manifest the RAM is maxed out also.
However, after following some of the advice here, namely remove the entire app with apt purge opera-stable and then restart and reinstall opera-stable I seem to have a little more stability.

So, for now, things are looking good.
I will report back when I have used this for a few days.
First of all, the latest version of opera is 64.0.3417.92, so you are some minor versions behind, so you should consider an update to the latest one.
Second, since it is a sync issue, better ask here https://forums.opera.com/category/22/synchronization
Sync is an opera service, not a feature of the browser itself.
if you have an RSS reader, you can subscribe to the Desktop Team blog as I have. Mind you, you'll see posts about all 3 versions (Stable, Beta and Developer) and even if that particular build is not on your platform (like the recent Windows-only update), but in most cases the title will make it obvious whether you want to read more.
@leocg
Just installed Opera Version 64 (was not aware until you asked, that there was a newer version).
It appears that the problem has been fixed in version 64. All sites seem to be staying logged in so far.
