@AMDphreak Opera GX has something similar to Chrome.
In Opera One, you can create profiles manually as mentioned before.

Interestingly, restarting the Mac did not close the open pages. But closing Opera causes it to run without them.

@leonhardttobias The menu? The menu uses favicons, there's not enough space to show thumbnails.. The only places you could see thumbnails is in Speed dial or in the grid view in Bookmarks manager. Any list view, menu, or even the Bookmarks bar will show favicons.
