Opera on M1 runs great now! Many thanks to the devs! 🙂
...as for shortcuts, unfortunately still no shortcut to cycle through open windows (should be "command <" as that is macOS standard key-combo afaik :°)
@leocg Oh, thanks, I did not know about that. In my version of Opera there are two options: 'insert' and 'insert with formatting', and the latter worked as I wanted, posting the text as text. Thank you so much for your suggestion!
@paul724 I am updating this with a reply - surely someone must know how to do this? Is there an Opera technical support guru who would understand the issue and how to resolve?
Whoever manages to reply - thank you for your help,
Paul
Only thing I can think of is a link that opens in another program (like PDFs used to do in classic Opera), the browser would be left with an empty tab with the URL in the address bar. And sometimes auto-downloading files do that too, but they don't open another program. Otherwise - if you switch to another program without actually doing anything in Opera - you should have stayed on the same page.
I am on OS 'Big Sur' version 11.2.3 on my Macbook Air.
When I try to install the recommended Mac Opera browser I receive the below message
“Opera Installer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.T his software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.
This is my first time of installing this browser so I have no out of date versions on my Mac, any ideas please?
Me too 🤚🏻 my Macbook Pro is up to date to macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 I was trying to install "Opera" but didn’t work.
@leocg I'm not sure how AdGuard internally works, but since is a system wide ad blocker, is blocking all the ads from Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge,... I don't need to configure anything with them, it just works. But that is not the case with Opera
@leo09
It makes no sense to me. All the highest rated browsers have a share option built in. There is no easy way of sharing with Opera. I am using an older version of Opera to continue to have that option but to be honest I now rarely use Opera because of the loss of a simple share ability. I have a feeling I am not the only person who feels that way. If someone from Opera is reading this I urge you to bring it back.
