Nice! Much better, much faster.
Yet still behind Brave and Safari - at least performance-wise.
But the Devs are on the right path.

Opera 73.0.3856.344

Hi all,
this issue had been mentioned in 2018 here already, but apparently not been solved until now, at least I couldn't find any related posts or answers...
Coming from Safari I'd like to switch to Opera. Everything works fine, except that I cannot cycle through open windows via key-board short-cut.
Acc. https://help.opera.com/en/latest/shortcuts/#advanced it is supposed to work w. ⌘+`
Regardless, that w. my (German) keyboard the ` is accessible only w. SHIFT, ⌘+` simply doesn't work.
Also I can't find an option to set the shortcut, which manages "Cycle through open windows" in settings?
On most Apps on macOS the standard shortcut to cycle through the open windows is ⌘+<
Opera opens its Settings page with this combo, but it would be much appreciated, if it used the combo in the same way i.e. to cycle through windows, either by default or by configuring in Settings.
Kind Regards,
Iro
After the upgrade to 109.0.5097.45 all stored passwords are gone?
Anyway to recover them?
If not, this is definitely the last nail of the coffin for Opera for me ️
@katarzynamos said in Opera Cashback:
The Opera Cashback solution works
indeed it does. sometimes at least
Please note that whether the cashback reward is granted is dependent on the user's actions and the decision of our partner.
What do you mean "decision of your partners"? If e.g. temu . com partners w. you ( https://cashback.opera.com/us/shops/temu ) why is none of my purchases appreciated?!
...especially after I sent a list w. all purchases incl. screenshots showing activated CB on temu to your "friendly" support?!
"the users actions"? I bought stuff on ebay w. the same browser on the same Mac on the same days. ebay was accounted, temu was not, so it can hardly be my "the users" mistake now, can it?!
Despite a rather unpleasant experience, we thank you for trying our services and encourage you to check out our offer in the future.
Thanks, but the effort to activate and subsequently check, but mostly the nerves it costs do not at all justify the return, sorry
Make ist simpler and - most imporantly - make sure it works 100% w. All merchants advertised.
@derhimmelssheriff dann meinst Du vermutlich das:
https://help.opera.com/en/opera36/sync-your-browser/
https://help.opera.com/en/account/#sync
Trotzdem danke f.d. Mühe
@derhimmelssheriff
also vom "normalen "Schnellwahl Ordner in einen neuen/anderen Ordner?
Probiere ich gleich...
brb
I simply disabled it completely after CB not registering my purchases and subsequent endless discussions w. a more or less 'friendly' support-agent.
Way to much hassle for the penny! Sorry.
I reckon this has been addressed before, but I could not find anything using search:
I want to move my Opera to a new Mac.
It's about the bookmarks, particularly the ones in "Speed Dial" ( chrome://startpageshared/ ).
The first thing I tried was to simply export the bookmarks to HTML and import them on the new Mac. The problem here - and this is the main issue of this post - is that the icons of aforementioned "Speed Dial" page are missing (...and I have to admit I have quite a lot of then ;).
Next, I tried to copy the following folders to the new Mac:
Profile:/Users/myoldmac/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera/
Cache:/Users/myoldmac/Library/Caches/com.operasoftware.Opera/
This didn't work either, only the first line of my Speed Dial page was present and it didn't even have the icons...
Question: how do I backup&restore/migrate/move/get my old Opera install onto my new Mac, keeping the icons of "Speed Dial" intact?
I'd like to mention that I'd rather not use any solution that would transfer my bookmarks to some server on the Internet.
Thanks for your input and feedback,
~IRO
