Got the same problem, would REALLY appreciate a fix for this.
Why is it so important to Opera that 'w' goes to the Wikipage of the same language as your locale setting? I have an English setting but would like 'w' to search the German Wiki... pretty annoying...
Nope, sorry. But here's a tip that might make life easier: you can click anywhere in the toolbar to move the window too, for example directly under or above the address bar.
Since I changed from Windows to OS X I'm going the opposite way: I changed the tab close button in Firefox and other applications (if possible) to the left side, to match the general appearance of OS X. It's only a matter of habituation, but each to his own...as you mentioned.
After selecting the bookmarks, right-click (or control-click / double-finger-click) to reveal a context menu that includes the item "Move selected items to trash".
Which version of OS X are we talking about? You could try going to "Dock" in your System Preferences and uncheck “Double-click a window’s title bar to minimize”. This should be disabled by default in 10.9 and later.
But even after enabling that (in 10.10 Yosemite), I see no way to reproduce the behavior you're describing. By 'too quickly' you mean a double-click right?
