Adobe Flash "application innitialization error"

I've been trying for weeks to install the flash plug in. It won't install and I get the error message: "application innitialization error" I can't find the answer. Anyone have any ideas?
edit: Opera vs. 36.0.2130.65 osx 10.11.4

Where do you download Flash? To download the correct version, from within Opera, go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ .

I was pretty sure that was where I downloaded it. But I tried again anyway Same result. "application initialization error". alas

Where and when do you get this error message? Is it on a specific web site? Do you have a screenshot?
