@donq This really works, you helped me a lot man, thanks! 🙂
You are welcome 🙂
And thank you for telling about results - I have few times recommended that nice little utility, but so far have not got any response - now I can recommend it for certain.
I don't know if there was every a way to remove the messengers section permanently, but they absolutely need to add this. It's very annoying that regardless of how many times I hide/remove the messengers, they keep returning over and over again.
It's almost daily now.
I suspect they're getting paid by Meta to persistently push Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger. If this continues, I don't know if I'll keep using Opera. Might have to switch to Brave as my primary browser.
Today, Opera performed an update after I rebooted my computer and all my saved passwords are lost! I've saved most of them earlier (as cbv file), but now I have to look them up every time I have to login somewhere... Point is that this happened before and I don't wanna have to go through this trouble whenever Opera erases my saved passwords. Maybe it's time to move on to another browser, although I've been using Opera for many, many years... Hope I find a quick fix for this problem here, otherwise it's bye bye Opera 😞
@leocg Done, logged in & out, cleared my cache/cookies, even rebooted my puter, still there. (Also, I don't have any msg requests, checked that too.) 😞
@lelandiniowa it's because there's said: "Ask me when Opera is started by a shortcut specifying an URL"
While it asks for confirmation on Every link, even if Opera is already started.
But it works.
@leocg I grab the url and drag it to where I want it, usually a folder with a specific purpose.
I did a print screen to show what the window is doing but can't upload the image for some reason.
