RE: [Solved]What's with blocking any URL opened with a shortcut?Opera for Windows
@lelandiniowa it's because there's said: "Ask me when Opera is started by a shortcut specifying an URL"
While it asks for confirmation on Every link, even if Opera is already started.
But it works. -
Dify set hard redirect everywhere, destroying user experienceOpera for Windows
I can set it to run on-click or on specific sites - it does not matter. I can even disable it - no reaction. I still have a hard redirect with referral links on the all websites, who can sell.
Which is destructive for my experience, because many sites started to block this redirects and I could not even reach my work's site. Absolutely unacceptable!
Luckily, I found the solution:
opera://settings/?search=dify - Sign out.
While you signed in, it does not matter if extension is disabled or not, or how you tune it.Shame on me, I trusted the Opera vendors and wanted to give it a shot.

RE: [Solved]Sync and Tabs restorationOpera for Windows
@leocg wow, thanks! I usually remove tabs icon, because I don't need it.
I think, I got the Opera logic now! -
RE: [Solved]Sync and Tabs restorationOpera for Windows
@leocg Ok, right now I installed Opera USB along with my standalone O, on the same PC. I synced it. It retrieved all the bookmarks, etc. But I have no idea how to transfer my tabs. I even have the workspaces copied, but they are empty.
I see my tabs in O, the number of it on the sync page, but nothing appears in O-USB. How to sync it? -
RE: [Solved]Sync and Tabs restorationOpera for Windows
@leocg I thought so, but extensions are actually synced between the normally installed and standalone Operas. I don't know how.
About the tabs - right now I have 133 here and 270 in sync. Which means, there's 137 tabs I just can't reach because of the encryption. On the other PC I did sync without it and I could see the tabs list and reopen it.
Is there any way to open the encrypted sync, knowing the passphrase? -

Same here. Open new tab, F5 and then it works. But it is terribly slowing the process.

[Solved]Sync and Tabs restorationOpera for Windows
- I had one installed Opera instance.
- I installed the standalone-usb version to another disk and synced it
- Expectacions - it will restore tabs. Reality - I can see, how many tabs are synced*. But I can click all 100 of them one by one! Ok, I installed TabHamster, synced the extensions and restored the session. Win?
- I reinstalled the OS. I opened the standalone Opera and guess what? It was empty! How?
- I installed Opera and turned the sync on. Again, I see only how many tabs I had in the previous OS and I can open it one by one*. But settings and extensions are not synced. So I had to install TabHamster - thanks God, I made a proper backup! - and restore my tabs all at once.
*Important note: I can't see the tabs or restore it, if it was encrypted. I can't decrypt it even when I know the passphrase! I can only see how many tabs are synced with I don't know what. Right now I have exactly this painful situation with another Opera and different workspace.

RE: The topic for things that were answered/discussed lots of times alreadyOpera for computers
@leocg Thanks for answering! My problem is a bit worse. I have only one device. I wanted to sync the tabs to backup, reinstall the Opera and then sync it back. Looks like I have lost everything. History trick do not work too.
But SpeedDial advice was Very helpful, thankyou!
