@happyhomesteader Thanks for the good wishes. Got 1st eye done just yesterday, didn't realize how bad eyes had gotten. the sounds of the browser like the typing sounds, the clicks or the background music can't be heard, not even the sound tester from the settings.

These are super, super quiet for me and I can barely hear them when using my laptop speakers (even with the volume all the way up). But, they're nice and loud when using headphones. I wondering if you're experiencing something similar.
is it normal, that i have invisible "opera_autoupdate.exe" process every few dozen minutes in logs?

Looks like every 10 minutes. Sounds like a good poll time. I would assume that's normal and expected.

Opera only provides "save all tabs to a speed dial folder". Since speed dials are bookmarks, you can then goto the URL opera://bookmarks and move the folder somewhere else like "other bookmarks" or "bookmarks bar".

I've had this occur to me multiple times but several months apart and I can't recall the previous solution that worked. I'm running Windows 10 on a laptop with a dock, the laptop screen, and 2 LCD monitors. The topic referenced above suggests windows + D but this does not work for me.

When I hover over the Opera icon in the task bar it shows the windows are active but hidden. When I try windows + D it applies to the current window open but I can't get the Opera window to open in order for the key presses to apply to that program.

Help?

Got 'em! Thanks.

I knew to look for hidden items, what I didn't know was what I was looking for.
I expected to find a file labeled "Boomarks".

When I didn't find that, thanks to the help here I at least knew I was in the right place, I kept scrolling and found a document labeled "Bookmarks".

A quick copy and paste and I have my collection of Bookmarks.

I have just enough computer knowledge to be dangerous, I'm comfortable moving files but don't always know what I'm looking for.
how do i turn off extra colors?

@leocg I just read this thread, and wholeheartedly disagree with you. Themes are very important to personalize a browser to your personal needs. I really like Opera - but the lack of themes kills it for me. Back to Firefox. Sorry, but this is just not good enough.

@andreapastina You need to use Opera Portable and install it in different places. Or you can use different Operas, like Stable, Beta, etc.

Yesterday I installed Opera on old laptop with Windows Vista. It worked fine and I also noticed that there was no dark background, when I searched for something or typed in the address. Can anyone confirm that described behavior is happening in their browser as well? It's strange that it depends on the Windows version.

Seems the sites in question are using Google Adsense auto ads. where the site itself is adding #google_vignette to the URL on the page.

There's a pic on this page that shows what it's supposed to look like. Of course, if you're using an adblocker, the ad will probably be missing where you just see a blurred page.

Hard to understand what you're saying without any punctuation, but goto the URL opera://settings/onStartup and make sure the startup options are set to how you want them.
