  Where does Opera store tables created by scripts?

  Honestly, Opera has several database files it uses itself - for your bookmarks, for example. But as the files have no extension, the format isn't exactly obvious until you look at the data.

  However, having said that ... Opera tries to obscure names of cache and local storage files; I have no way of knowing which you would need.

  If you set preferred language to other than English, you probably see only those that have support for that language
  for instance, this is for Spanish

  I'm using English, and so far, I have no use for the sidebar other than for the Notes extension. Perhaps, something will come in the future.

  If Opera doesn't (didn't) import everything on first run, then open the Run dialog or a command prompt and type

  launcher.exe --presto-small-prefs-dir="C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Application Data\Opera\Opera" --presto-large-prefs-dir="C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Opera"

  ... though obviously use the paths for your profiles instead of mine.

  The above was posted in the Desktop Team blog something like 2 years ago; fortunately I did save it in my notes.

  Opera/Blink does not overwrite Presto at all, I still have both available. Your desktop shortcut to Presto may be removed, but you can always re-create that.

  Got a look at it and I read, "Please note that the Export / Import process ignores nested folders, so any existing nested folders will simply be flattened to regular folders." It means that I'll have to reorganise ALL my subfolders? Everything will be mixed up and scrambled? Greater. 😞
  I really have so much free time and I don't have any ideas on the ways to fill it. Thanks Opera devs, you made my day. AND my night.

  Versions of Opera from 15 on share a rendering engine with Chrome. So, some people call the old version Opera Presto and new version Opera Blink (the name of the renderer) or Opera Chromium (the open source version of Chrome).

  Also, Ninite is a legit website. Very handy.

  I moved my Opera installation across to another hard drive (just by copying it). This lost all the settings, mail, bookmarks, etc. I logged into Opera Link and found a list of all my bookmarks. Is there a way to actually import those bookmarks into the browser or download the list? My browser version is 12.15 (I only want to upgrade if it is the only way to get my bookmarks).

  I reckon if you installed Opera anew in that other place then copied your Profile folder there - it could actually work.
  Otherwise, if you only need your bookmarks but not any settings, you could transport them via the built-in export-import feature - either with a .adr or .html file.
  I don't know much about mail, but your settings must be stored somewhere in (an) .ini file(s) - most probably within that Profile folder it is.
