What I mean by "forced", is that old browsers end up being incompatible with a lot of sites.
I also use Firefox and Chrome for various small things. I'm just not looking forward to spending hours finding 30 different extensions to make the the next browser my main browser.
When Opera updates itself, the new version is installed to a different folder. The old version is kept in case there are problems, but will be removed automatically when a newer version comes out. But yes, if you are having no problems with 31 then you can delete the folder for 30.
Indeed, the 15.0.0.215 is PPAPI and 18.0.0.209 is NPAPI. As I understand it, I have been using all this time dangerous and outdated version 15 of the plugin. However, shouldn't Opera automatically block the plugin and forbid me using it unless I'd update it?
It looks like this is just a coincidence. YouTube apparently stopped using Flash altogether (they're rolling out a new player, have you noticed it?). The new YouTube player is built in HTML5, the click-to-play setting only affects plug-ins like Flash not HTML5.
Seems that deactivating opera://flags/#experimental-start-page isn't available in Opera 31.0.1889.99 anymore.
Is there any other way to solve this (to get rid of those white spaces where names of pages are placed in Speed Dial)?
Would developers please stop mucking about with the Speed Dial settings! I now have some of my icons displaying one way and the remaining the 'new' way, with the latest build 31.0.1889.99. This is rather annoying. At least, give users the option to select one version or another.
Please note: On the example above there is only 1 space between "#77983784 Your" when you copy + paste - will be removed by the forum website! Manually add a 2nd space!
Opera does not export bookmarks by default since version 12. To do that you need an extension. I recommend 'V7 Bookmarks'. Its an excellent bookmarks sidebar extension for Opera and also allows you to do other things, like export bookmarks. Can't help you with the crashing issue though.
