There's no folder called "profile" at the path mentioned on the About page

And nobody said there should be one. The folder mentioned in the about page is the profile folder, which is the fodler where Opera store its info like history, bookmarks, passwords, etc.

but there doesn't seem to be anything of value.

It should contains your settings data so you will not need to set up everything again.
2 gmail accounts only one will work with opera

did exactly what they said to do, double checked all the setting in both g mail accounts they are the same.
one I get that error the other allows me to read and send emails.......I had tires using opera mail before and decided to go with a different one as to I had this same problem before......
mskes no sense!
After upgrade to Opera 31 all boomarks and emails are gone! Wht to do now?

Sounds like you're clicking on the installer repeatedly. I'd guess it installed but for some reason didn't create a shortcut. Look around and see if you can find a program named launcher.exe - if so, see if that runs properly. If it does, we'll create a shortcut to that.
How do you create a new Speed Dial folder ?

The trick is to move one over another until it turns gray, then let go of it.
Opera crashes when I try to download a file. Happing regularly now.

oh lucky you...hey can i ask something a little irrelevant? how can i make sites which require camera remember my options? for example,i go to Omegle and i press the "enabe camera" but later a box appeared and re-question if i wanna let my camera open.And in every new chat this box appeared.When i go to > Opera > Settings i have the "enable camera" but still omegle asks me every time..why's that?

As a sort of 'follow-up', from my own learning [as guided by people here], it appears the conditions of triggering the running of Auto-Update could easily be 'jiggered' to the point where auto-updater almost doesn't run. Personally, I never even FOUND any command line for disabling...unless I was looking at it and just don't know enough to realize it!

Frankly, I fail to understand any reason to NOT be kept current...but 'different strokes'

Unfortunately, it does go to illustrate a problem inherent in the entire 'extension' concept. The more independent software products that are involved in correctly putting a site's data up onto your screen, the more possibilities exist that at least one of them won't have their coding properly updated when the site decides to make a significant change in their site code. With web-support features embedded directly into a browser, there is only the browser-website interface to keep updated; with an extension, there exist browser-website, browser-extension, and extension-website interfaces that all have to play nicely together. This becomes an especially acute problem when an extension developer has few resources to keep current, compared with a browser development shop.

Would be great if to create subfolder exists when you book mark itself 1st time rather than create folder before or after you have already bookmarked
