@laneharbin yeah, seems that way. but.....I"ve clicked around Amazon today using a different refresher (Super Auto Refresh) and have had not problems.

TY. I think I found the issue. I disabled all my extensions. the one that seems the culprit is Auto Refresh Page.
very useful for certain sites I want to refresh every few minutes but apparently doesn't play well with Amz.
should I report that to anybody?

@sgunhouse I just clicked "amazon basics" link on the landing page. I got the error again. however, if I right click, choose "open in link new page" it goes through.
so I am agreeding with someone here that it is a amazon issue.

@leocg no shortcut. I am clicking links directly on Amazon, e.g, a pair of shoes. but not all links result in the odd message. some work.

I disabled Continue Shopping in Settings. No change. Still get the error message.

last few days when I click my Amazon shortcut on the browser home page, I get this message: "The link you clicked on is malformed. Contact the editor of the originating page." in address box I see "https://ringconn.pxf.io/c/4061861/1739782/20222?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fhaul%2Fstore%3Fref_%3Dnav_cs_hul_disb&subId1=dDxAnnV5WxaO"
I've reinstalled Opera. other sites work fine. this does not occur in Brave browser.
any ideas? is this an Opera issue at all?

all of a sudden I am getting ads on several sites. Gatewaypundit.com, theepochtimes.com. is there somewhere I should report this formally?
that said, I love Opera.

I've noticed last few weeks getting ads where they didn't appear before. not all my sites but some. of course, the ads are usually for products recently searched for in google.

I think I posted this once before but...on some sites (e.g., www.zerohedge.com) when I go to a new page, Opera goes all the way to the bottom of the page. I run very few extensions and have experienced this issue with each turned-off in turn. any ideas? TY for any leads

@yeswap just did this on my PC version of Opera. I see all the info you mention. none of that on the kindle/adroid.

@leocg any advantage to reinstalling Opera?

got it. there are ~8 tabs across top--about, types, Data, Events.
In Data I see many check boxes. all are checked including Bookmarks. I don't find anything saying sync took place however.

@leocg thanks for the fast reply. unfortunately I have no idea how to get to that file/location on the Kindle Fire. I'll search around with ES File Explorer.

@leocg I have version 62.1.3146.57513.
It often notifies me is has been updated.
I see that it is syncing the Speed dials from other devices. but not the bookmarks per se.
would I be better off with Opera Mini instead?

I want the bookmarks on both app's to sync in the background. I am logged in in the Settings on both devices.

My Opera on Kindle (side loaded from googleplay) does not sync with the Opera browser on my PC.
I am logged in on both devices.
Any ideas on why this may occur? how to fix? TY
